SDL Organisation & Staff

The Ship Design Laboratory of NTUA (SDL-NTUA) is one of  the four Laboratories of the School of Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering of NTUA. Its Director is elected by the General Assembly of the School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. The statutes of the Laboratory are governed by the Governmental Decree 131 / 483.

The Ship Design Laboratory is informally subdivided into the following main scientific areas, namely

• Ship Design, headed by Prof. A. Papanikolaou
• Computer-Aided Ship Design, headed by Prof. P. Kaklis
  (CAD/CAM/CAGD)

The Laboratory's staff consists of 

• Academic, permanent staff
• Research staff
• Technical and Administrative Staff
