Με μεγάλη μας λύπη σας ενημερώνουμε ότι σήμερα Τρίτη 17 Μαρτίου 2020 έφυγε από κοντά μας ο αγαπητός Ομότιμος Καθηγητής και εκ των ιδρυτικών Καθηγητών της Σχολής μας Αντώνης Αντωνίου.

Η εξόδιος ακολουθία θα τελεστεί αύριο Τετάρτη και ώρα 12.00 από το Κοιμητήριο της Κηφισιάς.

Ας είναι αιωνία η μνήμη του και ελαφρύ το χώμα της Αττικής γης που θα καλύψει τη σωρό του.

JUNIOR SUPERINTENDENT ENGINEER

Safe Bulkers Management Ltd., a shipping management company based in Limassol Cyprus, is recruiting for a qualified and well organized Junior Superintendent Engineer, with exceptional collaborative skills, hard-working and self-motivation, aiming to develop professionally in the Maritime Shipping sector.

Requirements

The position requirements include:

-Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering ? Naval Architect

-1 year working experience in a similar position (will be considered an asset)

-Knowledgeable English

-Good Computer skills (knowledge of Danaos System will be considered an asset)

Key features: Reporting to the SUPERINTENDED ENGINEER, the incumbent will be responsible:

1. To monitor/evaluate and assess Fleet?s vessels performance and maintenance (speed, fuel and lub oil consumption, Scrubbers performance monitoring, BWTS performance monitoring Planned Maintenance System, Lub Oils, Chemical analysis, PSC and Vetting inspections).

2. Training and seminars (i.e Main Engines, Turbos, Scrubber maker, BWTS maker, MARPOL and SOLAS guidelines) will follow in order to enhance technical skills.

3. Onboard training/visits sessions with skilled SUPERINTENDED ENGINEERS;

4. To Participate on Marine Technical R&D innovative projects;

5. To coordinate Superintended Engineer to execute technical activities (preventive and corrective maintenance, annual/ special surveys and dry-dockings, other Retrofits etc.)

6. To coordinate with Superintended Engineer to prepare D/D specifications and yards? comparative evaluation. D/D attendance as a member of Superintended Technical team.

7. To coordinate with Superintended Engineer to prepare BWTS Retrofit specifications and yards? comparative evaluation. BWTS Retrofit attendance as a member of Superintended Technical team.

8. To monitor and follow up new Class, IMO, rules/regulations, makers up to date service letters.

There is an opening at the Marine Department, as a Junior Project Engineer, of a cable installation company in Elefsina. This is a permanent job and not an internship.

The position has been established for the purpose of supporting the Fleet Conversions Team dealing with the vessel modifications, conversions, outfitting and customizations necessary for meeting project and client requirements.

The candidate will be joining a current team of experienced personnel to enhance the capacity and capability of the Division, in light of the ever-increasing workload.

The candidate will also be supporting the Marine Division of the company, charged with the maintenance and regulatory compliance of the fleet as required (i.e. installation of new equipment as required according to rules and regulations, replacement of equipment that is outdated or beyond economically viable repair, support in emergency repairs, etc.).

The candidate will be required to undertake complete project management of the various conversion/modification/outfitting work, from concept design to execution, supervision and completion.
